January News

January was a great month here at the Little Warriors!

We were all happy to get back into a routine after Christmas Break.

We welcomed C back as a big 1 year old!

Happy Birthday, from K!

Janelle celebrated a milestone bday, but we don't need to talk about that! :)

We celebrated with some new toys for the center.

A Thomas the Train set.  K loves to build the track, and C loves pushing the trains around!

Our theme in January was Winter.

We talked about snow, snowmen and winter clothes.

We didn't have as much snow to play in, or temperatures warm enough to enjoy,

but we lots of fun inside.

We became master builders this month!

Some of our favorite actives were sensory play with cotton balls, snow and ice.

Whenever the weather was nice enough, we liked to get out for walks.

One day we even had a chance to watch the big boys across the street sled.

That was lots of fun!

We also had fun reading lots of snowmen books and even making our own snowman!

We also spent the month talking about winter clothes, and practicing putting 

our coats, hats and shoes on all by ourselves.

K has finally mastered all of it and C is taking an interest as well.

We had fun going on a mitten hunt and ready The Mitten, then hiding

little animals in our mittens!

We have officially moved lunch upstairs.  It's just easier to prep/eat/cleanup there.

The boys love their new seating arrangements and K always makes sure we're in the right seats!

The 1 and only day C got to use the booster.  We prefer the high chair, for now!

 Next month we'll talk about our community helpers, including police and fire.

We will also explore things that go.

We're looking forward to celebrating Valentine's Day as well.

November News!

Where did fall go??

Out with the beautiful leaves and brisk walks.

In comes the blistering wind, snowfall and hats!

The website is up to date, so be sure to check out this month's theme: Healthy Me.

We will also be talking about Christmas and preparing to celebrate that!

Below is a snapshot of what we have to look forward to this month:

We will be taking several field trips this month.

We'll visit our pediatric dentist, Dr. Waage at Walnut Hills Pediatric Dentistry.

He is a wonderful dentist and his staff are great!  They have a farm themed clinic

that the boys will love!  Don't worry, we won't get in cavities filled, just a look around the office!

We will also start our winter visits to the YMCA.

We are going to be doing some open gyms times there this winter, as well as 

a preschool class or two.  We're looking forward to burning off some energy

in their warm gym!

Later this month, we'll visit Valley West Mall.  We're going to walk around

and enjoy the Christmas decoration and take a ride on the Christmas Train.

I'll be riding along too (as I've done many times over the years) so no worries!

We will not visit Santa, although we'll wave at him from afar.

That is a special trip for you guys to suffer through, no I mean, enjoy! ;)
